When should I reserve a bounce house?
Bounce houses are reserved on a first-call, first-serve basis. Popular bounces book up 1-2 months in advance. The earlier you book, the more choices you have to choose from. If you have a date, please reserve early. If bounce houses are still available, we are able to take same day reservations. Please note that we are unable to accommodate same day reservation park parties. So call or text us today! (203)996-5792
Is Bounce N Play Rentals insured?
We are insured, for your safety and ours!
Do inflatables need to be set up on grass?
The safest surface is a level grassy area. However, we can set up on concrete, asphalt, or bark. If we will be setting up on a surface other than grass please notify us when ordering which surface we will be setting up on and we will make sure we utilize the proper anchors for your event. Some of the larger units can only be set up on grass.
What kind of power is needed for the bounce house?
Our bounce houses plug into a standard 110v household outlet. We will supply the cord, and we ask that nothing else be plugged into the outlet we are utilizing. Placement of the bounce house should be no more than 100ft from that outlet.
What happens if I have an underground sprinkler system or wires?
This must be communicated to us when you are reserving your unit so we can make the neccessary arrangements to anchor the unit. If you wish for us to stake the unit down in an area free of sprinkler lines or wires, thats ok too!
How long is a rental for?
We do not hold you to a specific number of hours! Generally Saturday rentals at set up Saturday morning and taken down on Sunday. Sunday rentals are typically set up Sunday morning and taken down Sunday evening. There are occassional exceptions to this including holidays, inclement weather etc. and this will be discussed at set up.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we do require a deposit to hold the reservation for you. Deposits are generally $75.00 or $100.00 depending on the unit you are reserving. Deposits are accepted via credit card over the phone or check at least 7 business days prior to the event.
What are the cancellation and rain policies?
When you reserve an item and pay a deposit, we will hold your item for the specific time and date you reserve. We will not rent this item to anyone else. If you cancel in 14 or fewer days of your rental, you will not receive a refund. If you cancel or reschedule with 15 or more days notice we will hold your deposit and give you up to one year to reschedule and apply the deposit to the balance. If however, high winds or heavy rain is forecasted you may do one of the following: accept the unit and use per the rental agreement; reschedule to another date during the same calendar year (with at least 24 hours notice); or, cancel your reservation and lose your deposit. Please understand we have no control over the weather.
How much space do we need for the rental?
We need at a minimum, five extra feet on each side of the unit to secure it. There should be a clearance of at least 20 feet high, free of wires or branches for all inflatables except for slides. Slides need an additional 5 feet of clearance above the measurements listed for that specific slide.
Are your units clean?
We clean and sanitize the units every time they are set up. This does take us a while but it keeps them free of germs and looking new. Please be patient with us!
Should we tip the staff setting up the inflatables?
Your delivery drivers are responsible for the physical labor of setting up the jump house and cleaning it, as well as reviewing rules and safety with you. If you feel the drivers did an excellent job of preparing the jump house for your event, a small tip is appreciated by them but never expected.
Can we have a bounce house at a park?
While some parks do allow bounce house rentals, at this time we do not service public parks.
TENT FAQ
How will I know if I can fit a tent in the area I have?
First thing that you need to do is measure the area in which you want to put the tent. You must add 10 feet to the dimensions for staking. (This means that if you want a 20’ x 20’ tent then you need an area that is at least 30’ x 30’). This area must be flat with no obstacles in the way such as bushes, fences, rocks, trees, swing sets, pools, patios, decks or any other objects. We will need a height clearance of approximately 18 feet. If the dimensions that you come up do not meet our requirements then we will be unable to install your tent. If your area is close to these requirements or if you have a concern then please email us a couple of digital photos of the area along with the measurements to [email protected] We will respond as soon as possible with whether or not the tent is going to fit.
What surfaces can tents be installed on?
We only install tents on grass for safety purposes.
What should I do before you install the tent?
Please locate all underground utilities that could be located in or around the specific set up area. Utilities can include but not limited to water, gas, electric, telephone, sewage etc. Any underground utilities must be marked. If you have any doubts or questions about any underground utilities contact "Call Before You Dig" (CBYD) in Connecticut 1-800-922-4455
When should I have my lawn cut before my party?
Make sure you DO NOT cut your grass the day of your tent install. The green sap that is left on the surface of your lawn will stain our equipment as we have to lay most of it on the ground during our install. It is always best to leave your grass a little long. Grass wears better when it is longer. If your party is on a Saturday you would want your lawn to be mowed no later than Wednesday. Cutting your lawn after the tent has been installed can be extremely difficult with all the poles and stakes in the way.
